Sports Wear
All Weather Wear for Sports
When a sport is primarily an indoor sport, the gear worn tends to be fairly standard, no matter what time of year and no matter what the weather forecast. For instance, you can always safely predict what will be needed for playing indoor six-s-side or participating in gymnastics.
However, other sports, such as football, cricket, and running, require that a person equip his wardrobe with gear that matches the elements, no matter what day it might be.
For instance, with football, there are games that are played outside when it’s quite warm and others when it’s a bit chillier. Traditional gear always demands that shorts be worn, but there are ways of maintaining some warmth on those chillier days with the right all weather gear.
Long sleeve t-shirts, for instance, and special rain shorts are designed to keep the player as dry as possible. And in cricket, there are warm-weather and cold-weather shirts, as well as special trousers for chillier weather.
And so the well-dressed football or cricket player will have his weather-specific shirts and shorts, of course, but there are other items that might help him as well. For instance, special warm-up uniforms will make him more comfortable in either cold or rainy weather.
And good quality shoes with high-quality traction will help his shoes dig well into the turf. Leg-warmers are worn for the obvious purpose: keeping the legs warm (as well as looking cool).
Those who take part in running outdoors will have the standard shorts but also good cold-weather sweats and shoes that gain lots of traction in the event of slick surfaces.
There are lots more possibilities, but the key is to keep your mind off the elements and onto your game performance–which is the whole purpose of sports all weather wear.
